Welcome to Trip to Kailash Pvt. Ltd.! Please read these terms and conditions carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us anytime.

1. Booking Your Trip

  • To confirm your booking, a valid passport with at least six months of validity and six passport-sized photographs (scanned or printed) are required.
  • A 15% deposit is needed at the time of booking, with the remaining amount payable before departure as per instructions.
  • Please plan your trip in advance, keeping your schedule and budget in mind.

2. Pricing

  • Our prices are transparent, with no hidden costs.
  • Prices may change due to factors like currency fluctuations, unexpected weather, or political situations. We’ll notify you of any changes as early as possible.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

We understand that plans can change. Here’s our cancellation and refund policy:

  • 45+ Days Before Departure: 90% refund.
  • 25–44 Days Before Departure: 50% refund.
  • 15–24 Days Before Departure: 30% refund.
  • Less Than 7 Days Before Departure: No refund.

4. Passports, Visas, and Documentation

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the start of your trip.
  • For non-Indian passport holders (NRI), we will arrange your group visa for the Kailash Yatra from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. Please provide a scanned copy of your passport at least 45 days before departure.
  • For Indian passport holders, we will arrange your group visa for the Kailash Yatra from the Chinese Embassy in Delhi. Please provide a scanned copy of your passport at least 45 days before departure and original passport at least 14 days before departure.
  • Bring these essentials with you:
    • Passport and photocopies
    • Four recent passport-sized photographs
    • Travel insurance documents
    • Credit or debit cards and some cash

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory and should cover accidents, emergency evacuations, and unforeseen medical expenses. Ensure you have a policy in place before your trip.

6. Health, Fitness, and Altitude Preparedness

  • Consult your doctor before booking, especially if you have pre-existing conditions.
  • The trip involves high altitudes (above 4,500 meters), so be prepared for the possibility of altitude sickness.
  • Rest adequately and prepare physically before the trip.
  • Acclimatize gradually and walk at a steady pace.
  • Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol.

Medications like Diamox can help manage symptoms. Our team will provide oxygen and basic medical support during the trip. Please carry your regular medications and a personal first-aid kit.

7. Changes or Delays

Unforeseen events like bad weather, political unrest, or health emergencies may cause changes to the itinerary. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and suggest alternative plans.

8. Accommodation and Meals

  • Accommodation is carefully arranged for comfort, with options ranging from hotels to basic shared rooms.
  • We provide freshly prepared, 100% vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

9. Clothing and Packing Essentials

The weather varies from warm during the day to freezing at night. Pack wisely:

  • Warm clothing: thermal wear, woolen jackets, gloves, and hats.
  • Comfortable trekking shoes.
  • Accessories: flashlight, sunglasses, water bottle, personal toiletries, and a first-aid kit.

10. Altitude and Weather

  • Expect sunny days but cold and windy conditions, especially in the mornings and evenings. Temperatures range from 22°C during the day to -10°C at night.
  • Follow our tips to stay comfortable and safe during the trip.

11. Communication

  • Mobile networks work in most parts of Tibet. Wi-Fi is available at select hotels.
  • You can also purchase a Chinese SIM card for approximately 200 Yuan ( approximately 28 USD).

12. Photography

While personal cameras are allowed, photography at border checkpoints is strictly prohibited. Please respect local guidelines.

13. Currency

  • Only US Dollars and Euros can be exchanged for Chinese Yuan in Tibet.
  • Exchange facilities are available in Nepal and Tibet, but rates vary daily.

14. Guides and Support

Our professional guides are fluent in English and Hindi and have over 10 years of experience. They’ll ensure your safety and make the trip enjoyable.

We also provide porters, cooks, and supporting staff during the trip. For the Mount Kailash trek, horses and porters can be hired for $400 and $200, respectively (non-refundable and must be arranged in advance).

15. Complaints

If you experience any issues during your trip, report them immediately to your guide or trip leader. Alternatively, you can contact our office after your trip, and we’ll resolve your concerns promptly.

16. Your Privacy

Your personal information is collected solely for official purposes. We respect your privacy and will never share your data without your consent.
