13 Days of Spiritual Awakening and TRANSFORMATION
The 15-day Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a perfect mix of spirituality, culture, and adventure. It begins in Kathmandu, where you visit famous temples like Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Guheswari while applying for the China Group Visa. A short hike to Tarkeswar Mahadev Temple through beautiful villages and forests adds a touch of adventure before the journey takes you to Syabrubesi. From there, you cross the Tibetan border into Kyirong and gradually acclimatize as you drive through the stunning landscapes of Tibet, heading towards Mansarovar Lake.
At Mansarovar, you take part in a ritual puja at the holy lake before continuing to Darchen, the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. Over three days, you trek 45 kilometers around Mount Kailash, including the challenging Dolma La Pass at 5,600 meters. The trek is both physically demanding and deeply spiritual, with breathtaking views at every step. A special highlight of the trip is the Inner Kora, where you hike to Ashtapad and Nandi Parvat, getting closer to the sacred Mount Kailash and its spiritual energy.
The journey ends with a return drive through Saga and Kyirong, crossing back into Nepal and reaching Kathmandu. Along the way, youâll carry memories of peaceful rituals, awe-inspiring scenery, and a sense of spiritual fulfillment, making this yatra a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
The day begins with applying Chinese visa at the embassy, followed by a guided tour of Kathmanduâs spiritual and cultural highlights. We will visit the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of Nepalâs largest and most sacred landmarks, and the revered Pashupatinath Temple, situated along the Bagmati River. Nearby, explore the Guhyeshwari Temple, a Shakti Peeth with deep spiritual importance.
Covering a distance of approximately 20 km, the sightseeing tour takes 2-3 hours, including time navigating the vibrant city traffic.

Day 3: Fly to Lhasa
We bid farewell to Kathmandu and take a scenic flight to Lhasa, arriving at 3,656 meters above sea level. After a warm Tibetan welcome, we drive 65 kilometers to our hotel.
The rest of the day is for rest and acclimatization, ensuring weâre ready for the adventures ahead. Enjoy comfortable 4-star accommodations and meals as we settle into the beauty of Lhasa.

Day 4: Discover Lhasaâs Treasures
Today, we dive into the spiritual heart of Tibet, exploring its most iconic landmarks. Our journey begins with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace, a symbol of Tibetan culture and history. From there, we take a short walk to the revered Jokhang Temple, a sacred site brimming with spiritual energy. Strolling through the lively Barkor Street, we soak in the vibrant local culture, surrounded by bustling markets and traditional Tibetan charm. Overnight stay at Lhasa!

Journey to Shigatse
Day 5: Lhasa to Shigatse via Yamdrok Lake
Today, we embark on a scenic drive from Lhasa to Shigatse, covering 360 kilometers in approximately 7 hours. The journey takes us through picturesque Tibetan villages and vast plateaus, offering breathtaking views at every turn. Along the way, we stop to admire the serene beauty of Yamdrok Lake, just 1.5 hours from Lhasa, and visit the historic Gyantse Fortress, a short detour that adds to the dayâs adventure.
As the second-largest city in Tibet, Shigatse welcomes us with its unique charm and rich culture. Overnight stay at Shigatse at a standard hotel.

Drive to Saga
Day 6: Drive to Saga
Today, we embark on a long yet rewarding journey from Shigatse to Saga, covering approximately 450 kilometers. The drive takes us through the breathtaking Tibetan plateaus, passing high mountain passes, vast pastures, and glimpses of daily Tibetan life. Along the way, just 10 kilometers before Saga, weâll witness the majestic Brahmaputra River, a truly awe-inspiring sight.
With temperatures ranging from 5°C to 20°C, the day ends with an overnight stay in Saga at the best available hotel, offering modest accommodation.

Day 7: Saga to Lake Mansarovar
Today, we set out early on a serene drive to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours. Cross breathtaking landscapes and stop at Old Dzongba, home to Tibetan herders.
Upon reaching Lake Manasarovar, spend time by the tranquil waters, engaging in prayers and meditation while surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The day ends with an overnight stay near the lake, where the spiritual energy of this revered site leaves a lifetime impression.

Day 8: Pooja at Lake Mansarovar and travel to Darchen
We begin the day with a vehicle circumambulation of part of Lake Mansarovar before driving to Darchen, the base for the Kailash Parikrama. This is the day to rest, acclimatize, and make final preparations for the trek. Temperatures will begin to drop significantly here, ranging from 5°C during the day to sub-zero at night.
If you require a pony or porter for the trek, let the trip leader know today. The 40-kilometer drive takes 1-2 hours. Overnight stay in Darchen as we gear up for the adventure ahead.

Kora - Day 1 Begins
Day 9: Kailash Parikrama Trek from Darchen to Diraphuk
Wake up to the serene surroundings of Darchen and enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on the sacred parikrama (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash. This marks the first day of your trek, with breathtaking views awaiting you at every step. Drive to Yama Dwar, the starting point of the trek, and begin your journey on foot or horseback (if pre-arranged).
As you trek toward Diraphuk, witness the magnificent north face of Mount Kailash, a view revered by pilgrims worldwide. The path is moderate, with plenty of opportunities to rest and soak in the sacred atmosphere. Upon arrival, settle into your guesthouse and enjoy a simple yet comforting meal.

Day 2 Kora
Day 10: Trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma-La Pass
Today is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the entire journey. After an early breakfast, start your trek to the Dolma-La Pass, the highest point of the parikrama at 5610m. The steep ascent is a true test of endurance, but the views and spiritual energy at the top make it worthwhile.
Pause at Dolma-La to offer prayers and take in the awe-inspiring sight of Lake Gauri Kund, believed to be the bathing place of Goddess Parvati. After crossing the pass, begin a gradual descent along a scenic trail leading to Zuthulphuk. The trek is easier on this stretch, with the serene landscape offering a sense of calm and accomplishment.
Upon arrival at Zuthulphuk, settle into your accommodation and share the dayâs experiences over a warm meal.

Day 11: Complete Parikrama, drive from Zuthulpuk to Darchen then to Saga
Begin your day with an early breakfast and a short trek to the Charan Sparsh area, a spiritually significant spot revered by pilgrims. Spend time meditating or reflecting amidst the pristine beauty of the mountains.
Afterward, trek back to the pick-up point, where our team will drive you to Darchen. This marks the end of your incredible parikrama (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash. Upon arrival in Saga, settle into your accommodation and enjoy a warm dinner.

Return Journey to Kathmandu
Day 12: Saga to Kyirong to Kathmandu
After breakfast, set off for Kyirong, a scenic town near the Nepal border. The drive takes you through high mountain passes, wide pastures, and quaint Tibetan villages. Youâll notice the transition from Tibetâs rugged terrain to greener valleys as you approach Kyirong.
Then a short drive to the Nepal border. After completing border formalities, youâll switch to a different bus and continue your journey through Syabrubesi, finally arriving in Kathmandu ( by overland or flight ). Along the way, enjoy lunch amidst scenic Nepali landscapes.
Upon reaching Kathmandu, settle into your comfortable hotel and unwind after your long journey.
